Default THK needs a NM buff

Thunderhead Keep in Normal Mode needs a buff up.


When you get to the keep, and the stone summit and mantle/mursaat are attacking, there is way too much time between the attacks of 3-4 people max.

Why do it on normal mode? For the title, HM goes to guardian, not protector.

For those that suggest I grow patience, do the mission/bonus, and then come back and say that again. It takes about an hour and is too easy.

there's no difficulty in waiting there without any enemies to fight.
It's fine just the way it is. Forming a group w/o H/H will take you longer.

and you bold those words why? Forming a group didn't take any time for us at all, and we were sitting there having groups of 3 attack us for an hour or so.

why did I bold them?
1. you say you care not about difficulty
2. you say it was hard only before factions/NF
3. then you say there is no difficulty (in waiting)...but according to you, you don't care.(because difficulty is not a concern)
4. you titled this thread 'THK needs a buff'

It's far too easy, and consequently quite boring, as it is now. No challenge at all, in a mission this late in the game, is both odd and unwelcome.

I guess that is why NM is normal (easier now)...and HM is for people that think it's too easy, or boring.

I'll bet that some of the folks who haven't done it 1000x over like it just the way it is (if any exist). If you want to make it hard, do the noob thing and run out and aggro. if you're that good.

That is because his problem isn't with the enemies. The problem is with the long waits between the enemy mobs which is a problem I've had even in hard mode.

Waiting for the next mob to arrive is boring.

It was boring the very first time I did it, which was after the changes. A game that's not challenging is not fun. A late game mission that's not challenging is flat-out disappointing. No one's asking for it to be made HM tough, but there's a long way between the kind of cruise control difficulty it currently has and that. Make it as hard as Ice Caves or one of the RoF missions, that's reasonable for a mission at that point in the game.

sweet have them (anerf) change it back to the way it was so there will be even more and louder QQing this time around lol.

at least it is passable now(with shoddy pugs) in the state it is in. when and if it gets rolled back, prepare yourselves...and go back and help all the lesser players go thru it.

After you kill the mursaat boss you win. However your victory is delayed about 20 minutes while you're constantly attacked by mobs of 2-3 enemies that pose zero threat to an 8 man group. Speed it up, it's boring and easy.

I played THK when it first came out. No faction no NF and it was hard bastard then. Because we didnt have heros we didnt have all the skills. But there are players who only have Proph, they just bought the game to try GW out. and when they get there they have some crappy elites, because they dont know where to skill hunt and get better ones, and they are stuck with pugs. Try this mission in NM with just henches no heros.And besides if you have already done it, why do we need to change it? You only need it once per char.

It's funny that some would like it harder, faster...etc..

next time you do THK with a pug, and I mean a pug that is fully new to the mish, mention 'infusion' lol. alot of them don't even know what it is...

again if you don't like the wait, and if you're that good, don't camp the king, split the group(or not)...and go on the offense.

I know I've yet to do it successfully. because well...no one will do it lol.

I propose a "Not So Hard, But Not Quite Easy Mode".

THK has never been hard - but PUGs were, for the first time, confronted with a scenario which required just a slight variation of pwn stuff till it dies. Of course, in the "hard" days, interrupts were something that wouldn't compute, shutdown meant you press the "power" button the computer and protection was something that would keep you from becoming a parent too soon.

Fun topic, as I remember when this was considered by many to be the hardest mission in the game and many PUGs stalled here, monks had strikes, pleas for fixes etc. Even though its now due to obvious factors such as heroes and new skills, its still an odd reversal of consensus.

Its not anywhere as slow as waiting for Leah as she walks all over the place.
